Known for its breathtaking landscapes, dynamic agriculture, and warm hospitality, Kenya offers a perfect blend of tradition, innovation, and opportunity.

A Land of Rich Agricultural Heritage

Agriculture lies at the heart of Kenya's economy and culture. From the highland farms of Nyandarua and Nakuru to the fertile volcanic soils of Meru and Elgeyo Marakwet, Kenya's agricultural sector is a critical component of national food security and rural livelihoods. The country supports over 800,000 smallholder farmers and countless value-chain actors across a wide range of commodities.

A Strategic Hub for Africa and Beyond

Kenya serves as a gateway to Eastern and Central Africa, with modern infrastructure, a well-connected transport network, and one of the continent's busiest international airports. Nairobi, the capital city and regional innovation powerhouse, is home to major international organizations, leading research institutions, and a thriving technology ecosystem.

Natural Beauty & Cultural Richness

From the iconic Great Rift Valley and Mount Kenya to the white-sand beaches of the Indian Ocean coast, Kenya's natural wonders are world-renowned. The country boasts a rich cultural mosaic of more than 40 ethnic communities, offering delegates a uniquely immersive experience in African hospitality, art, music, and cuisine.

Do I Need a Visa to Enter Kenya?

Most international visitors now require a Kenya Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) rather than a traditional visa. As of 2024, Kenya has implemented the eTA system, which replaces the visa-on-arrival and most pre-issued visa categories. All delegates are strongly advised to consult the official website of the Directorate of Immigration Services for the most current requirements applicable to their nationality.

Kenya Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

All international delegates must apply for an eTA prior to travel via the official Government of Kenya portal:

Official eTA Portalwww.etakenya.go.ke
Processing TimeTypically, 3–4 working days (allow extra time)
Application FeeApproximately USD 30–50 (varies by nationality)

Official Invitation / Confirmation Letter for Visa Purposes

Registered participants who require an official letter of invitation to support their eTA or visa application may request one from the 8th ACAE Secretariat. Please ensure you are fully registered before making this request and contact us at:
